I met James and his family in 2010 on a trip to Hopkins, Belize. His father took us out on two tours while we were there and we had a great time. On a second trip back to Belize (Placencia, this time), I learned that James, Sr. had died in a car crash. Oddly enough, I chose a tour company and his son was working there. We formed a great friendship as he worked through school and obtaining his dive master certification so that he could start his own tourism business.
James has done a great job promoting his new company and learned how to interact and take care of his clients when he was working for other tour operators before starting his business. He’s gotten great reviews in the short time he’s been in business and continues to want to be the best he can while supporting his young family and leaving a legacy for them.
It was my pleasure to build his website without cost to him so he could jumpstart the business since money was tight. He was very happy with the final outcome and receives many visitors and tour requests through it. I wish you the best of luck going forward, James!
